Precision Time Watch Deals and Info

TIMEX-out those last changes....

Ok so the last time I was on the timex site I liked it. The minor holiday makover leaves someethign wanted and jumbles and confuses the design. I say if you are gonna go holiday on your site, go all in, ALL IN!!!!!!!!!!! But the site does a good job of communicating aklot and delivering alot of content without overwhelming the viewer. The site is broken down nicely into different sections for the sub brans all with a consitency yet also an identity of their own. Good job timex!

Audemars Piguet.......

This site ain't too shabby the images are nice, but things are kinda big. It takes a while to load and the background color well it makes me want to vomit. Anyway it's an ok site but could use anew color scheme and better load time.

what the PATEK?

The Patek Philippe website is umm interesting another let down form a high end luxury brand. The website has nice styled navigation but it lacks some over all stule and appeal it is like a flash version of a simple site it might have even be a template or something. I dunno something just doesn;t sit well with me. I do like the the zoom and descriptive view of the items. the attached image is of the zoom view.

CITIZen rock garden.....

Well ok maybe not toal zen but this site is pretty nice. It has a simple elegant design that really gives the brand the clout it deserves. Yeah it's just nice!!

GUESS what!?!?!? This site stinks!

Yeah guess was a severe let down..... The site has 2 actual pages and a 5meg 15 page PDF catalog you have to download the whole *****in thing before you can look at any of their watches. I would have tyo say at this point it is the biggest let down of all the watch sites I have looked at..... blarg!

NIX-ON!!!

Now here is some snazzzy web design! This site has nice smotth features and again does a good job of using the white space to offset the graphics. I do have one simple complaint right out of the gate..... I can't see the whole homepage on my screen, I caould understand this dilema were I running a wicked high 800x600 screen resolution but I am not. I don;t mind the need to scroll on the catalog pages and such but I would like to be able to see the whole homepage without working for it!!!!! Oh well I must say it is a slick site besides who c an argue with a watch company with over 38,000 myspace friends. =)

KENNETH COoooohhhhhL!

I really like this site for it's simplicity. I have criticized sites for this before but in this case it does well to represent the brand and doesn;t come from a lack of creativity or anythign better to but in that big white space you call a website. The site identifies the brand very well and uses the "clean" white space very well as an impact for it's product! Me likey. I think making a big white site visualy pleasing can be more difficult than making cool banner and graphics to fill the screen.

Tourneau????

OK wow I would not repeat not buy a $58,000 watch from this website, it just ain't happening. This is a crazy high end company and their website is majorly blah! I don;t need it to sing and dance and do my laundry or anythign but at least be a little more astecticaly (i'm sure i mispelled that) pleasing. It doesn't represent the elegance or luxury of the brand at all. I dont like the left justification of the page and I am amazed how many companies and sites still do that! I'm a very not impressed!

Ahhhh SchKAGEN!!!

Well that was uh dissapointing at best...... You would think a major watch manufacturer would have a functioning website of some kind while they are updating, ummmmm NO! try back later so I will try back later to come up with an actual review of this site. Maybe...... ok I won;t I will just be forever bitter about the site being down and worthless!!!!!

Seikooooooooh

Well seiko is not too shabby. The site is clean and elegant and does a good job showcasing the watches and trhe brands integrity, it is however kinda clunky, although I am not sure I can makee a fair judgement of that based off of Provo College interent sppeds. I dig this site!

SWISS uh unLEGENDary

So yeah I saw some swiss legend watches and I was unimpressed and then I looked at their website and I was further unimpressed the site looks pretty ridiculous the naqvigation is nauesiating and the the buttons look like the were made in uhh like a really lame program........ yeah not impressed at all, i would certainly not be inspired to spend $800 on a watch after seeing this site.

The Fossil Of It All

Fossil clean and simple and effective it displays the product and the brand identity in a simple straightforward way it might benefit from some bells or even a few whistles but all in al lit get's a not-too-shabby from this blogger.

Crystal Fit-ing Navigation....

This site is nice and simple and clean but I absolutely love the navigation!!!!! It is just simply nestled in the upper corner the options follow the outer rim of a clock face and the minute hand snaps to whichever category you choose. It is very fitting for a watch part company and done quite sweetly!

We're in the SWISS ARMY Now!

Well swiss army is simple and sleek no "Flash"y content unfortunately it is missing half of the images. Kinda makes it less than desirable. The site doesa good job of branding the style, but again is kinda dull and boring and missing stuff and is all in all unispiring......

Omega is so so......

I was again surprised by this like rolex. The brand is a very high end brand and the site is not a great representaion of that. It is nice and clean and fast but atthe same time it just seems kind of blah. It does a better job than Rolex of showing it high end brand. Omega is sponsoring the next olympics and that is made clear through out the site. All in all the site is nice but slightly lacking.

Unimpressed by Rolex!

Well I must this has come as a surprise to me I was expecting Rolex to have a friggin amazing sexy cool site and I am thoroughly unimpressed. The landing page is nice and elegant but the interior site pages, not so much. Seeing as the sale of one rolex watch could pay some to work on a web site for most of a year, I thought it would be alot nicer. The graphic and layout are unimpressive and do not showcase the high end luxury of the brand very well. A website like any other design produced for a company should manifest the brand identity and this odes not! Yuck!

The Longines Of It All......

well I am starting to see a trend among the websites I have been lookin at they all have some flash stuff and deliver information, of course that is one of the main purposes for a website, simply deliver information. This site is interesting they have some graphics and things that play on the history of the company and use it's long legacy as a reminder of a tradition of great watch making. The design is nice and simple and the site is fast. Nice job Longines!

Max Büsser & Friends Horological Machine AMAZING!!!!

This site is awesome it has all the flash goodies you can think of and it runs fast loads clean and has amazing design!!! Besdies that the watch is amazing!!

This site is Tissot So...

This site is loaded with wicked cool flash stuff..... way to much flash stuff, it is slow and annoying because it is overdone!

Less than precise timing......

This site is awful!!!!! It is old an broken and tehy are trying to sell stuf to people????!?!?!?!? The images don't load and the graphics are awful and ugly!

Oris is niiiicceeeeeeee...............

Yes another watch site, but another good one. Oris is a very high end watch. The site shows this nicely with beautifl simple graphics and lots of high res images to show off the watches. Each collection is accented with realtive photos that blend eveything together nicely.

This Will Knock Your LUMINOX Off!!!!

I dig this site! It has a splashy landing a good mix of watches with lifestyle that the watches are designed to appeal to. It really gets you going and delivers a clear message it's nice.

Blah-Bulova

Yes Yes another watch site I know but I see alot of them and the sometimes surprise me. Bulova is a high end watch company and they have an ugly blocky site that doesn't flow and just looks nasty. Similar to swatch they have chosen to left align all content which in my opinion is ugly!!!!! But alas it is what it is, the navigation is ok but each page is blah-fully laiden with steangr type and images that do not blend well together.

What the Swatch!?!?!?!?!?

http://store.swatch.com/ This is an interesting site, they have since dropped the h***ping bunny rabbits from the homepage for dracula. The site has zippity zappity cool flash intros for highlighted watches but the rest of it is pretty dull and looks really cheesy!!!!! Also the left justify of teh entire site is fairly annoying and makes it look odd. The typical design style for a website is to center content and while that is not required it sure doesn't make sense why this site is justified strangely......

Invicta Waaatch

http://www.invictawatch.com I dig this site!! It is smooth and colorful and has a seriously rockin sound track!!!! The site is fast and filled with lots of goodies. It does an excellent job of displaying the product and deliverying the message.

The Supreme Downfall.....

Today I discovered the supreme downfall of flash based websites as the PC (rhymes with feeceese) machine I am currently browsing on is incapable of displaying content I was unable to view the web sites and therefore uninterested in products or services offered by these companies.
